Amazing addition to my camping kit
This thing is amazing. Works like a charm. I just went camping for 3 days with it, and it made my breakfast burritos and coffee a breeze.Pros:Quick and easy to light (at least with their wood pellets).Stays lit long enough for any of the food I was cooking without refilling.Very compact and easy to store, with the exception of the grill top.Flame tornado looks awesome.Boils water very quickly, and using the (optional, not included) coffee press is super easy/clean.Cons:Even a pile of compacted hardwood pellets burn pretty quickly. Unsure how the heck you'd keep this lit with just gathered wood. I did confirm that you can do it; you'd just need a looot of gathered twigs/etc.If you try to refill too fast while it's burning, and the flame goes out, it clogs with smoke to the point that you can't re-light without dumping and restarting.Note: I realized after my first attempt that the grill top is ridiculous if you're using a pan (featured in the pic). Just place the pan on the stove itself. lol.

Awesome little stove. I have cooked vegan burgers, veggie skewers, pork chops, ribeyes, made coffee/tea. Charged my phone on it for 3 days straight. I read reviews that said it's hard to get started. Well that's because they dont know how to start a fire. Make a whole bunch of feather sticks and your good to go. Just practice with the thing. It does eat sticks like crazy though. But nothing like a big fire would. 1 log split into tiny bite size pieces should last a very long time. I have a Samsung note 9. Charged my phone. But you do have to keep feeding the fire. Took a few hours. Drained the biolite battery. But kept the fire going which replenished it after a few hours. It's super fun to use also. Love playing with it. Oh also I tried the wood pellets. I personally think sticks work better. The pellets create a lot of mass in the bottom. Even after burnt. Where the sticks kinda just burn up. Also some say its loud. But I dont think it's very loud at all. Plus I walked 20 feet away while running full blast. Could not hear it at 20 feet away. So it's not loud. I look forward to getting some more accessories for this thing.

I never write reviews but I am for this particular item. It is so freaking awesome! Everything thing about it is amazing. I wasn't sure how well it'd cook with no lid but when I did my first test it was a blistering -2 degrees Fahrenheit in northern Wisconsin with a lot of wind. It took a little trial and minimal errors to figure out the best way to cook with it in those conditions but it worked fantastically even with the wind and sub zero temps. I made shrimp kabobs, bacon wrapped scallops, and stuffed oysters on it each separately. The power pack/generator works super well and builds a charge within itself very quickly and holds it's charge during storage. Given it's size it throws off a lot of radiant heat as well. I will be buying more items from biolite, guaranteed. This is pretty a must for any camper or survivalist due to it's size and cooking abilities without even considering the electrical generator. Who cares about smart phones and such, but my priority for this is to recharge headlamps and other things like that. I keep this in my truck right now for emergency situations but I will be purchasing a second to put in my saddlebag on my motorcycle as well.

Love this “no so little stove”. Ok yes it has the ability to charge up your cellphone to make an emergency call. Maybe get it to 50% after a few hrs of burning. But it it’s great for getting water to boil for my mountain house freeze dried meals. Have that forced air fire get it hot fast. Using twigs and other small branches good for everything but the grill attachment. Used twigs and stuff to cook a hotdog.yuck... used a cut up pine board and yum. Remember some trees barks containing undesirable things will make smoke that makes direct grilled foods no very good. It’s a bit heavy for backpacking but you’ll almost always have fuel for it. But it’s pretty well made and the little led lamp the kit comes with makes it too easy to keep an eye on what’s cooking in the dark. It’s not a piece of kit for everyone but for most I’m confident that it will meet most reasonable expectations.

I was excited when I get this package. However, the package contains the power bank (the yellow thing attached to the stove) does not seem right. It does not have 3 LED indicators, Instead, it has only a on/off switch. I looked into different product line from Biolite. It turned out to be the power bank from the Camp Stove 1, which is less efficient. The package and user manual are all for Camp Stove 2 so I am not sure what happened to my package.
I left a seller feedback to see if I can get a replacement part for this. I was contacted immediately and they explained and addressed this issue in a timely manner. I will definitely satisfied with BioLite’s support. One note for future references, use Amazon’s feedback or contact BioLite support directly both works great. Just don’t do it both at the same time. I confused their support and took some email exchanges to clear it up.

Works great! The instructions that came with it read like Camping for Dummies. Love that the fan shuts down if your fire is dying. I played with it awhile before cooking on it (as recommended in the instructions) & charged my phone. This of course ran down the battery. When I started to cook later that evening, I realized the battery was dead.…. However, the fan is needed to provide oxygen to the fire. Just as I was going to give up & shove everything thing into the kitchen, the fire became hot enough to charge the unit enough to power the fan! Cooked dinner successfully. The light is a little on the dim side, but works fine. All in all, pretty happy with how it cooks & generates power.

5.0 out of 5 stars So versatile, amazing gadget.

This was a gift for my daughter’s Christmas. It was very good value. My daughter and her partner love it, they were so excited to use it, they took it up a very snowy local hill on Boxing Day, made a cup of tea just to see it’s potential. They are patiently waiting to start exploring the Scottish mountains again once lockdown guidance allows it and they will be taking their magic stove with them. They have many gadgets already that reduce their carbon footprint but they believe this stove is so versatile; it cooks and heats using foraged twigs and cones and even creates extra energy to charge devices. I think I may buy one for myself!

What a treat to use. While I'll admit there is a bit of a learning curve to it, once you get the hang of it, this thing can be a monster. Burned plenty of brush, pine, wood pellets in this thing with great results. Though it can definitely be a hungry little beast, it takes a bit longer for it to digest heavier woods like birch and maple. Put half a birch through it and only had an overheat issue once, which was due to human error (had some damp wood too close to the right side of the stove which overheated the external unit).

In regards to charging your devices: This thing is a great way to keep your phone charged while out in the wild, but don't expect to charge your phone from dead to 100% making yourself a coffee. Takes quite a bit of fuel to even charge the onboard 2600mAh to 100%. But you're still charging your phone with your fire, and that's a pretty incredible ability when you're in the bush.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vollwertiger Campingkocher
Reviewed in Germany on September 14, 2019

    Leistung:
1,5 Liter Wasser kochen laut Datenblatt in 4,5 min.

    - Fornello pirolitico in acciaio cromato.
    - Griglia ( ci stanno comodi 4 hamburger + 2 salsicce)
    - Accendi fuoco in materiale ecologico ( diavolina eco) e set d'istruzioni.
    Ottimo Prodotto.
