Not bad for $30 but don't expect perfection

Not bad for $30 but don't expect perfection
Well it's not complete crap, and for $30 it's not too bad. It is not perfect. That's for sure. Autofocus did not work with all these lenses I tried, namely the 50mm 1.8 and the 50mm 1.4. As well as the EFS 18-55. It worked fairly well although slow with the 24-105 f/4, the 28-70 f/2.8, the 17-40 f/4, and the EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 and it also worked well with a Sigma DC 18-50 F2.8.I like that it has a tripod mount that can be removed. The lens mount is made of cheap metal, and you'll hear odd noises when attaching lenses. It also fits really tight to a Sony body.Overall it does what I wanted it to, lets me adjust aperture on lens without aperture rings. It seems to do that pretty well on all lenses. The auto focus is hit or miss, sometimes it works ok, sometimes it's total crap. On some lenses it doesn't work at all. So if you want a cheap way to use Canon lenses on your Sony and don't mind occasionally using manual focus this is a good tool. If you think this will make all your lenses perform just like they would on a Canon camera you'd better keep looking. Great for someone willing to experiment, but don't expect it to perform like a $400+ adapter.

Works great. Not super fast on the focus but it works. I recommend using manual focus and set up the NEX to "use without lens" in the menu option.

I was super excited to be able to use my Tamron 75 to 300 mm lens on my Alpha 6000 by getting this adapter everything was going well until I tried to use the manual focus and zoom and I realized that this adapter was not locking the lens into place because the lens came right off of my camera. I'm happy that I was sitting down when it happened and it landed in my lap, but I would have been out a $200 lens if I was standing up I don't know if this is a product defect or if it's just shoddy craftsmanship either way I'm going to be requesting a refund on this or a replacement to see what happens next. Moral of the story be cautious when you're buying some aftermarket stuff like this especially if your lens is expensive.

This product performs no better or worse than those adapters costing much more. Its low price makes it worthwhile to try with some Canon EF lenses. Most users like myself complain about it being far too tight on the newer series SONY APC cameras. I found it more useful on my SONY A7ii, using the zoom feature to reduce vignetting. However, it did not work with my Canon 18-55mm. Movo Customer Service expressed some concern and offered a refund.

There is a bit of play on the lense side when mounting the adapter to camera. The downside is most of the pins don't do anything. I don't even know if they are connected to the other side at all. I did continuity test on the pins and only 2 pins worked to power on the lense and turn on image stabilizer. The camera can't recognize the lense and a lot of features don't work such as auto focus, face recognition, and worse of all, the zoom doesn't work.... But it does make the Canon lense fit on a Sony camera...

Amazing for the cost. Of course it has some issue with focus hunting here and there but at this price you really can't complain. I couldn't even use my canon autofocus lens with a manual adapter on my Sony A6400. This works great for me. Would get 5 stars if the auto focus worked perfectly but no complaints.

Okay so I don't normally go out of my way to write any reviews ever. But I just had to for this one. Came in super fast (next day shipping for my area) packaging was typical, just a small box, no case or anything which is fine. Had some instructions. Picking it up, it was extremely light. Very cheap feeling. I have 3 metabones adapters so this was a little strange. Attached it to my FS700 and it felt nice and solid. Not too tight and not loose at all. Maybe a tad on the tight side. The metal finishes where the contacts are were matte silver which is a little odd. definitely feels plasticky. But this is going on my Ronin RS2 so I need lightweight where I can. And the weight factor helped a ton. (attached photos) but probably the best part about it is the performance. Autofocus is as expected, seems pretty quick but still just regular hunting. but the aperture doesn't flicker around like the metabones. that's the 2nd best part (first being the weight). The aperture changes up and down like it should on a normal camera and it's the best part. Also usable with Full frame lenses/cameras also. I stuck it on my A7S with 20mm 1.8 and works perfectly, no issues. Buying another ASAP before these go up in prices.

The item worked for the first few times, but then it started falling apart. The screws on some of them broke off the thread. When trying to fit it on the camera, it was extremely tight which could possibly be the reason why the screws began to fail.

Recommended only for quick uses but not for longevity.

1.0 out of 5 stars Aperture control and value doesn't work well
Reviewed in Saudi Arabia on October 30, 2022
F/stop control from camera does not correspond well to the value set while using this adapter. It keeps stopping down to the lowest aperture value and needs to be turned off a couple of times before it recovers to your desored value. I jist resently discovered this problem and sadly could notnreturn it anymore because i already thrown the box.
