Attention to climate change and climate policy spiked in the past 5 years after receiving national attention as an existential crisis through politicians such as Bernie Sanders, AOC, and public figures like Greta Thunberg, who was named TIME Person of the Year in 2019. Attention also came through proposed legislation such as the Green New Deal which has inspired other countries to pursue their own versions of the bill. With the newly incumbent Biden Administration, how can climate activists continue to keep up the pressure on politicians for real climate justice utilizing direct action?
