video on how my truck's computer malfunctioned and how I fixed it as affordable as possible.
I get cut off at the end, was trying to say that because I didn't change my spark plugs sooner, the gap on the spark plug was too far and the computer sent more voltage to compensate. However, when it does that, the coil can't handle it and backfeeds voltage into the computer. The computer then fails and sends way too much voltage and shorts out/melts the coil. And will keep doing so until PCM repair.
Don't pay $70-90 per ignition coil! If this happens to you get the whole kit and you must send your computer in for repair. If not your computer will keep shorting coils within 10 min of running. Sux but this is the only way. I tossed $$ away on 2 coils, b4 I bit the bullet and replaced/repaired everything.
