Peanut chikki by using only jaggery | Chikki recipe | ಚಿಕ್ಕಿ | How to make peanut jaggery Bar
A simple, tasty and famous dish by using groundnuts or peanuts is "Chikki". This video shows how to make homemade chikki without using any food gum. This chikki is prepared by using jaggery. Chikki comes out with perfect texture and shining, if the tips said in the video are followed. Jaggery syrup should be made in low flame.
Tray should be arranged invertly and we need a rolling pin to level the chikki at the end. Note the perfect consistency of jaggery syrup. Be quick in the final stage of chikki making.
Ingredients-
Groundnuts/peanuts- 300 grams
jaggery- 200 grams
water to make jaggery syrup.
cardamom & ghee are optional.
1 tsp of ghee to grease the tray.
