A moody black-and-white piece documenting the ancient pueblos, missions, and ranchos of Northern New Mexico. The overall look of this film was based on the landscape photography of Ansel Adams, the cinematography of Gabriel Figueroa (who shot a number of films during both Hollywood and Mexico's Golden Ages of Cinema) and the wet-plate photographs of the American Southwest. I was able to achieve this look by filming in black and white while utilizing blue and red colored filters interchangeably.
