Confusion reigned in the Jubilee Alliance on how to approach the debate on pulling out of the International Criminal Court. A proposed amendment seeking to enforce the African Union resolution for the Hague cases to be referred back to Kenya was shelved the last minute. During their parliamentary group meeting ahead of the afternoon debate members were divided on the implications of the motion on the cases facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto. And as Alex Chamwada reports, a section of Cord members felt it was a waste of time participating in the debate on the grounds that it was not in the national interest.
