The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is the company's most recent folding phone. Xiaomi is a rising star in the phone industry and has recently had success with its camera-heavy 13 Ultra and 13 Pro models. It isn't quite as camera-focused as the 13 series, though, because it is a foldable phone. Instead, its purpose is to be a powerful dual-screen device that will compete with Samsung's recently unveiled Galaxy Z Fold 5.

On paper, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 appears to have many advantages over the Z Fold 5, in particular. Even by the standards of non-folding phones, it is very powerful, extremely thin (at just 5.26mm when unfolded), and has a quad-camera system that is best-in-class on paper with a five-times zoom range.

However, Samsung will continue to hold the top spot in the foldable rankings, so the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 won't overtake it. This is primarily due to the fact that it is unlikely to be released outside of China, despite the fact that the Z Fold 5 excels in a number of other crucial areas.
