This video explains how to configure port forwarding rules on a Digi router. The demo shows 2 port forward rules being configured, the first is without port translation, the 2nd is with port translation added. Port forwarding is needed when you want to get access to LAN devices behind a router on a public IP address. Port translation lets you set up multiple outside/WAN interface listening port numbers and redirect those ports back to the original ‘well known’ port number.
