At the March 8, 2022, city council meeting, 30 Plymouth, MN, residents showed up in support of DEI and their Asian neighbors. After members of Plymouth DEI speak, the mayor turns the meeting over to council member allowing him to continue to make hurtful remarks and change the history of what he had said previously. No mayor in Plymouth's history has broke protocol like this.
In December, council members Prom and Roehl also tried to abolish the newly created DEI position. When that failed, the city manager fired the person in that position.
