If you have been following me for some time, you will know that I’m the die-hard pawpaw fanatic that drives thousand miles at the end of each summer to get my hands on the best pawpaws that money can buy.
I’ve had to resort to these extraordinary lengths due to the fact that there are no local sources of premium pawpaws here in Georgia. Sure, if you are knowledgeable, you can find wild pawpaws in the local woods. But nothing does justice to the yearly pawpaw indulgence than tasting pawpaw fruits from premium cultivars. I still stand by my opinion that if you’ve never tasted the amazing pawpaw, the best way to be introduced to this magical fruit is by tasting premium pawpaws that have been selected for superior size and flavor.
Given that Georgia is a food desert for premium pawpaws, I’ve been bringing back additional supply each year so that other locals can have access to this rare opportunity to purchase the finest pawpaw fruits. This year, I’ll once again be able to offer for sale pawpaw fruits from premium cultivars. However, unlike previous years where the premium pawpaws were rush transported from several states away, this year’s offerings will all be Georgia-grown by yours truly! They will have the advantage of being allowed to tree ripen to perfection for the ultimate in pawpaw indulgence.
