Andrew and Andy go out and about, as the 2 old duffers, with Andy being given a geriatric pass and seat to his combined shock and merriment. Andrew paid full price and didn't get a seat - satisfaction confirmed with a laugh.
The MRT extended the Bangkok underground Blue line from Hua Lamphong to Tha Phra on July 29. We took advantage of the free tickets to see the much talked about stations architecture including: Hua Lamphong, Wat Mangkon, Sam Yod, Sanam Chai, Itsaraphap, Tha Phra Hua and investigate what was there to see around the stations.
Since our trip, as of the 29th of September the line will be extended by more stops including- Bang Phai, Bang Wa, Phetkasem 48, Phasi Charoen, Bang Khae and Lak Song.
There is no doubt that these extensions have opened out the city, especially into the old city and China town, which in the past were a real headache to get to.
It is well worth the trip and this video will give you an idea of what to expect.
