As Singapore looked to cut down on waste, one sector which stood to benefit was the food industry. Each year, Singapore lost 342,000 tonnes of food. That was S$2.54 billion worth of food waste. To reduce this, a Singapore Environment Council study recommended "a circular food economy". The council's chairman, Ms Isabella Loh, discussed more with CNA.
