Chef Ellard goes fishing on the Vixen with the legendary Captain Kenny Llanes and catches a rare Shortbill Spearfish 3:59 and a Pacific Blue Marlin 7:17 off the Kona Coast of the Big Island.
The Culinary Edge TV is about characters and Captain Kenny is no exception. He is like the Hawaiian, lighter version of Quint from JAWS.
After fishing, the catch is cleaned and BBQed right at the dock over Kiawe wood (Hawaiian Mesquite) as Captain Kenny serenades everyone with his ukelele. Amazing food and adventure - as the Hawaiian's say - No ka oi - Da Best!
