I developed a tool that allows upgrading the red wrapped 30A SimonK ESCs that are available from eBay for around $5.

If anybody wants one of these programmer tools, I can make a limited number available as DIY kits that will include the 3D printed part and 6 pogo pins that make up the interface. You'll have to supply your own ribbon cable and AVR programmer.
