Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has just arrived in China for a state visit, which will run through till Friday. The visit, which comes at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, is Tebboune's first visit to China as president. He was previously Algeria's communication minister and housing minister, as well as prime minister in 2017 before being elected as president of Algeria two years later.
