We woke up at 2 am to catch the sunrise at Gunung (which means Mountain) Bromo. This famous Mount Bromo is an active volcano and part of the Tengger mountains, in East Java, Indonesia. We took a ride in Toyota Jeep (there were hundreds of them!) followed by a short motorcycle ride. The trip took about 45 minutes from our hotel Plataran Bromo to the drop off view point. We waited for the sunrise at Penanjakan view point. It was freezing cold and even though it was tiring to wait for the sunrise, it was such a beautiful awesome view. Mother's nature at it's best!
