The Tai series, named after titanium, will focus on family-oriented vehicles with a unibody design, unlike the off-road-focused Bao series.
The first model, the Tai 3, is a mid-size SUV based on the earlier Super 3 concept. It will launch in the first half of 2025. The Tai 3 features dual electric motors, delivering 110 kW at the front and 200 kW at the rear, with a top speed of 125 miles per hour. It uses lithium iron phosphate batteries from BYD's FinDreams Battery division.
Production will take place at BYD's Xi’an and Changzhou facilities in China. This new series emphasizes safety, innovative technology, and individual style, aiming to cater to family needs.
