Apex Legends first Ranked System was insanely sweaty and competitive: Elite Queue.

Season 17 of Apex Legends brought the new Ballistic Assault Legend, some World's Edge Map Changes, a new Firing Range, a Weapon Mastery System, and a new Ranked Rework System that favors placement over eliminations.

Before Ranked officially existed in Apex Legends, an LTM known as Elite Queue was introduced in Season 1 of Apex Legends.

With Elite Q, you needed to place Top 5 in regular Trios before this LTM would unlock.

If you wanted to remain in the Elite Queue, you needed to place at least in the Top 5 every game.

Within Elite Queue, the Ring closed in faster, and it dealt more damage to players.

Unique Badges, like the Elite Streak, would showcase how many times in a row you finished in the Top 5 Teams. The most rare Badge in Apex Legends, Elite 888, required you to get 8 wins, with 8 different Legends, with 8 Eliminations in each game.
