In 2023 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers and agents seized more than 24,000 pounds of fentanyl, which equals more than 71.6 million dollars. U.S. Customs and Border Protection is entrusted with and committed to carrying out its homeland security missions. Part of that includes stopping deadly fentanyl, synthetic drugs and precursors from entering the country.
