With the aim of giving the string quartet a new coat of paint, the vision string quartet has been working on a wide range of music from pop to classical music, and has demonstrated its skills around the globe. The musicians have now started a collaboration with Mahan Mirarab, one of the most interesting representatives of the contemporary jazz scene and a specialist in microtonal systems. The program stands for the boundless possibilities of music and combines works from the albums »Persian Side of Jazz« and »Say Your Most Beautiful Word« by Mahan Mirarab with music by violinist Florian Willeitner. The compositions reveal diverse tonal languages and unique blends of rhythms and harmonies that reflect the rich musical vocabulary from different musical styles.
