“How is Jerusalem holy to you? I was told that it is not mentioned in the Qur'an” said Ahmad Tibi, Leader of the Ta’al Party, when asked by another Israeli politician stating that there is no mention of Jerusalem being given in Islamic texts.
In response, Mr Tibi, quoted passages from the Qur’an and Prophetic teachings specifically naming Al Aqsa and Jerusalem at the Knesset on Thursday.
