The #stepparenting pressure is REAL in blended families. We put it on ourselves and it is also put on us from the first moment we say “I do”. Sometimes it can feel like connecting with our step child is a losing battle. Sometimes step #parenting simply feels unnatural. Sometimes stepping in causes problems in your marriage. It’s all just hard, and it’s all a lot to take on. I’m here to release you from all that nonsense. Let go of the need to control this situation and I promise you’ll be a lot more a peace. Sometimes we just need to embrace the mentality “it is what it is” to save our sanity in our #blendedfamily. Believe it or not, not everything needs to be turned into an issue and be made a big deal. Step parents are a support, not the star of the show. Accept the things that will not change and let yourself down from that pedestal. If you are a spouse of a step parent, remember to extend grace and communicate your expectations as soon as possible. The Purpose

Why is talking about blended families and life in general important? Because we believe that we can do better than what statistics say about second marriages lasting, about blending families making it, that’s why! A 70% divorce rate statistic for remarriages with children is simply unacceptable! Spreading life lessons, passing along wisdom gained from experience and bringing to light what is often happily left in the dark to hide, is how we all can learn to be better, to do better the second time around (in a blended family many lives depend on it). Together we can avoid costly mistakes that will end in the demise of our precious families.
