A weapon so powerful it exceeds max damage and overflows back down to the 200-300 damage range. Truly the world isn't ready for such power...
On a more serious note I seriously don't get the point of AR. It's generally a poor indicator of weapon power. The staff is just a strong for a staff, but that disc chime... thats good stuff.
BUILD TIPS
- DON'T MELEE WITH A STAFF!
- The disc chime might have the highest damage for it's requirements, only 18 faith needed. No STR, INT or DEX needed so you could be hitting for 500+ damage at SL 20!
- The chime is fast as hell on swings and doesn't use much stamina.
- The chime normal attack is the shield attack, WITHOUT block frames, also deals less damage than the heavy attack.
- The heavy attack is strong, fast and spamable.
- The biggest weakness of the chime is the total lack of hitbox and range. I'm not even kidding, it's so unreliable.
- The Old Sun Ring (bomber ring) is real good attack set up. Spam away and when it triggers roll into them for a free hit or two. I have no idea if this was even a nerf that the bombs now track your player.
-The RingOfBlades and Sacred Oath will not increase the staff or chime damage. Presumably since they deal no physical damage.
-You cannot buff either the chime or staff with any buff, even the hidden weapon and shield buffs.
- The RedTearStone ring does boost both of them.
-And most of all, good luck getting hits with the chime. Best plan is to bait and punish with spells so they have to fight you.
