The Hispasat 30W-6 satellite was successfully deployed to a Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO), after being launched by a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florid, on 6 March 2018, at 5:33 UTC (12:33 a.m. EST).
Hispasat 30W-6 (previously Hispasat 1F) will provide television, broadband, corporate networks and other telecommunications solutions. SpaceX did not attempted to land Falcon 9’s first stage after launch due to “unfavorable weather conditions in the recovery area off of Florida’s Atlantic Coast”.
