Phander Valley is located at district Ghizer of Gilgit Baltistan.The population of Phander comprises 80% Ismaili & 20% of Sunnis sect of Islam. The altitude of Phamder valley is 3100 metre.The language of Phander Valley is Khowar,which is also spoken in Chitral It is 4 -5 hour drive from the city of district Gilgit.Best time to visit is end of june to July. On the way to phander there are many other valleys are located.Main valleys are Gupis Yasin & Ishkoman.Ghizer road is crossroad between Gilgit via Shandur .Shandur Pass is a high mountain and polo ground .The altitude of Shandur Pass is 3700 metre also called as "Roof of the World".Shandur Polo Festival is held from 7th to 9th July every year.Phander
