Footage released by Syria's State news agency SANA via Reuters, Tuesday, August 13, reportedly shows Syrian government forces moving into the strategically important town of al-Hobeit in Idlib, the rebel's last major enclave, and a small village near Khan Sheikhoun, a rebel-held town that was bombed with sarin gas in 2017.
According to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the capture of al-Hobeit represents the most significant advance the army has made in Idlib province since the start of its offensive three months ago.
