Forty-first and forty-second songs from John Gay's masterpiece 'The Beggar's Opera' published in 1728 and they are both sung by David Burt as Macheath and the Chorus. These versions are taken from the excellent 1992 Royal Shakespeare Company modern adaptation by John Caird and Ilona Sekacz. The picture in this video is from the CD front sleeve to the original cast recording of the production performed at the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, UK.
