The Ford Rouge Factory Tour offers awe-inspiring encounters with America’s celebrated manufacturing past, present, and future.
The tour starts with two introductory movies, one on the history of the Ford Motor company and the second on Ford's cutting edge innovation. The second movie is very well crafted with special effects, enhancing the viewer's experience greatly.
Visitors are then led to an observation room to survey the factory's facilities with an instructor explaining the factory's history and various points of interest.
Afterwards, visitors go on to tour a gigantic assembly shop where workers are installing windows, tires and other parts to the vehicles' body; Visitors may walk around the shop on the decks above, observing the streamlined, paced jobs being carried out on the ground floor below. Instructors are standing by answering visitors' questions. However, it is not allowed to take any pictures or videos of the work shop.
The tour ends with a showroom of some shiny Ford products.
