Young Norwegian country phenomenon Diddi Velle burst onto the scene through viral videos. The talented songwriter and irresistibly charismatic singer is now working with multi Grammy-winning producers in Nashville – and her own songs have already been highly praised within the industry.
First out is debut single and party banger “Drunk Punk”, a song about her ex in true Taylor Swift spirit, how his love for the bottle was too strong and that he will never change. It’s also about how the end of a relationship can help you find your true self and be the start of something better!
A true story in the direction of country/rock. As well as the first song she ever wrote – spontaneously recorded in Nashville with one of music city’s greatest bands. The producer has his name on over 70 million records sold plus it’s mixed and mastered by renowned engineers F. Reid Shippen and Joe LaPorta. Even Mica Roberts is contributing with backing vocals. She was signed by Toby Keith and worked very close with him for years until his death. With other words, quite a team, and not bad for starters!

“Drunk Punk”
Lyrics
I was young and in love with a man
A party now and then that's where it began
But his love for the bottle was too strong
And this young, dumb, drunk punk of a man will never change
I'm just glad that he left me, now I'm back where I belong
Got over you and had to write this song
I didn't know one person could cause such pain
And this young, dumb, drunk punk of a man will never change
I remember the day he peed in our bed
I was pregnant at the time and couldn't stand the smell
It's a long, long time since way back then
But this young, dumb, drunk punk of a man will never change
I'm just glad that he left me, now I'm back where I belong
Got over you and had to write this song
I didn't know one person could cause such pain
And this young, dumb, drunk punk of a man will never change
Now everyone raise your glass above your head
I'm bringing out a toast but don't forget what I said
I'm just gonna need someone that loves me more than beer
And this young, dumb, drunk punk of a man will never change
I'm just glad that he left me, now I'm back where I belong
Got over you and had to write this song
I didn't know one person could cause such pain
And this young, dumb, drunk punk of a man
This young, dumb, drunk punk of a man
This young, dumb, drunk punk of a man
Will never change
Will never change
Will never change
