Indian Coast Guard on November 17 successfully rescued seven Indian fishermen near India-Pakistan Maritime Boundary. ICG ship Agrim successfully rescued Indian fishermen, apprehended by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency ship Nusrat. The Indian ship intercepted the Pakistani vessel Nusrat and chased it for about two hours to persuade them to relieve Indian fishermen. As per Defence sources, ICG made it clear that under no circumstances would it allow Pakistani vessel to take away Indian fishermen from fishing boat ‘Kaal Bhairav’. The ICG ship was able to retrieve the seven fishermen safely and returned Okha Harbour on Nov 18. Unfortunately, the Indian fishing boat ‘Kaal Bhairav’ was reported to have been damaged and sunk during the incident.
