A talk from Anthony Thomson on 'Building the First New High Street Bank' at the Warwick Economics Summit.
Anthony Thomson is co-founder of high-street newcomer Metro Bank.
When the bank launched in 2010 it was the first officially licensed high-street bank to start up business for more than 150 years. Known for its customer-friendly approach, Metro Bank's branches open 80 hours a week and keep dog biscuits in reserve for visiting pets.
Under Anthony's guidance, Metrobank has expanded quickly. 16 new branches have enjoyed the bank's lively opening celebrations in the last three years.
Outside of Metro Bank, Anthony is Chair of the Financial Services Forum, which brings together senior executives in the industry to discuss financial marketing strategy.
