Places of worship reopened their doors in Jakarta on June 5, as the capital began gradually easing COVID-19 restrictions. Friday prayers were conducted across the city for the first time in 13 weeks, with mosques implementing new health protocols. However, Jakarta's governor has made it clear that he will not hesitate to put a stop to the easing of the restrictions if there is a spike in COVID-19 cases again.
