We have plum trees that get invaded by aphids every year. I used to stress about the aphids, but I noticed that before too long, ladybugs started to arrive with their very hungry larvae, and they got the aphids under control. Also, I think after leaving the aphids and ladybugs alone one year, the following year, the ladybugs arrived in significant numbers earlier and more rapidly. I'm happy now our yard is achieving some more balance between the predators and prey, and I'm also very happy to leave the aphids alone and let a natural solution solve the issue.
