Full recording (including questions) of the session ALS Quest: The continuing search for environmental and other risk factors for MND recorded at MND NSW 2016 Ask the Experts, for people living with motor neurone disease, their family and friends.
Associate Professor Roger Pamphlett is a neurologist and neuropathologist who works in the Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney. His primary research interest is in finding underlying causes of MND. Current projects include an international online questionnaire to look for environmental risk factors that may precipitate the disease, analysing toxins within the nervous system in people with MND, examining the link between exercise and MND, and using advanced genetic techniques to look for gene variants that could predispose people to getting MND.
