This is an easy fish taco recipe and a super easy way to prepare and serve salmon. I'll also show you how to make our great fish taco slaw, and our favorite sauce for salmon tacos.

Salmon Taco Recipe Ingredients
1 lb salmon
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp kosher salt
Sauce For Salmon Tacos
Chipotle Fish Taco Sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayo
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tsp diced chipotle in adobo sauce
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp chili powder
1 clove garlic, minced or grated
Creamy Avocado Green Sauce
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
3 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp cilantro
1 garlic clove, minced or grated
1/4 tsp hot sauce (or to your taste)
1 avocado
1/4 tsp kosher salt
Fish Taco Slaw / Salmon Taco Slaw
4 cups cabbage, chopped
1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
1 carrot, peeled and grated
1/4 cup mayo
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
Salmon Taco Recipe Directions
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees. Pat the salmon filets dry, then coat both sides with avocado or other neutral tasting oil. Dust the top of the salmon with the spice rub, using your hands to pat it in.
Add the salmon filets to the air fryer basket, skin side down. The filets will stay skin side down through the entire cook time, there's no need to flip them. Cook for about 10 minutes, based on the thickness of your filets. I use use a thermometer to test that the salmon has reached about 140 degrees in the thickest part, and the salmon will come up to 145 degrees as it rests.
Creamy Avocado Green Sauce Directions
Mix together all of the ingredients using a hand mixer or food processor. This avocado green sauce is amazing on fish tacos and nachos, and makes a really tasty dipping sauce for chips. It will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 days as long as its tightly covered.
Chipotle Fish Taco Sauce For Salmon Tacos
Combine all of the ingredients and stir to mix. If you aren't able to find the diced chipotle in adobo, use one large chipotle and dice it up, along with about a 1/2 tsp of adobo sauce. For a spicier fish taco sauce, add more chipotle or a dash of cayenne.
Salmon Taco Slaw | Fish Taco Slaw Directions
Prepare the cabbage, using a small chop or thin slices to your preference. Mix all of the ingredients together, then cover and chill for at least 30 minutes. This slaw is best served the same day.
