In this clip from his talks on the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, Paramahamsa Prajnanananda speaks about asteya, one of the five yamas. The real meaning of asteya is freedom from the claws of greed. It comes from the understanding: all belong to me and nothing I need.
Anything that we steal or possess is just a name and form. Stealing can be mental, such as when we experience greed, or in action. Paramahamsaji tells us, from whom do we steal? From those who we feel do not belong to us. It indicates an incompleteness within.
