September 19, 2024 — Bill C-223 went up for the second hour of second reading in the House of Commons tonight. The vote is set for early next week, so there’s still time for you to write your representatives in support of Bill C-223.
If the bill passes, it will mark the first time a federal parliamentary committee studies the prospect of a basic income in Canada!
