The Jeddah summit on security and development is being held at a time when the world is witnessing great challenges, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman said on Saturday in his opening remarks.

The Saudi Crown Prince called on Iran to be cooperative and to not interfere in regional affairs.

And U.S. President Joe Biden followed the Crown Prince's speech by affirming America's commitment to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. He also said the U.S. was working with Saudi Arabia and Oman to reach a political solution in Yemen.

Arab leaders of countries participating in the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development started arriving in Jeddah on Friday, with the bulk touching down on Saturday.
