Shivappa is a progressive senior banana farmer born in the small Sasalu Hobli neighbourhood of Bangalore's Doddaballapur district. Shivappa was raised in a farming family. After finishing his studies, he began farming on his father's property without thinking about finding a job.
He has been farming for 45 years, the last 20 exclusively in the banana industry. Shivappa's production of bananas has even earned him recognition in the agricultural sector. He cultivates bananas on 10 acres each year. Shivapp has published a success story about cardamom and bananas. His first 1 acre of growth produced 18 tonnes, which laid the groundwork for his future success. He now owns a sizable home, a car, and a lot of lands, thanks to bananas.
The best crop is bananas. Bananas come in a wide range of kinds, including Nendra in Kerala. As more extensive and more lucrative banana crops grow daily, other bananas may fail and occasionally lose value, but only cardamom banana prices remain relatively stable. Farmers take a risk when growing this crop. One can only make less than 6 lakhs in 9 months if the same banana is produced on a one-acre plot of land.
