STORYLINE:
Guitarist Jimmy page will be celebrating his 80th birthday on Tuesday (9 January 2024).

Born in west London in 1944, Page began his career in the mid-60s in the band The Yardbirds before going on to form the genre-defining group, Led Zeppelin.

Widely regarded as the original innovators of heavy rock, Led Zeppelin was made up of Page on lead guitar, Robert Plant on vocals, John Bonham on drums and John Paul Jones on keyboards.

They went on to fill stadiums world-wide, selling millions of albums.

And Page is regarded as one of the most influential rock guitarists of all time.
