The 2022 Motocross Of Nations at RedBud certainly didn't disappoint. Lots of great action and battles, unfortunately some bad crashes too. Today we are going to look at a couple riders who had some pretty nasty crashes and give you guys the injury update thus far.
Firstly let's take a look at the worst crash of the race, this crash kind of went viral but if you haven't seen it yet, here it is.
The rider in this video is Team Estonia’s Jorgen Matthias Talviku. Talviku seemed to be more bummed that he let the team down than being injured but heres what he said in a post race update.
“Hello all fans, supporters and friends!
Unfortunately i had a crash in RedBud and broke my femur. Soon surgery and then rehab!”
The next injury is Team Japan’s Jo Shimoda, Shimoda crashed in the qualifying race on Saturday. After the race he was seen with a finger brace on, although unconfirmed it seems like he sustained a broken finger. Here’s the crash.
Shimoda said in an injury update “Yes some on my side but some of the mistake was out of my control and ended with small injury but still young and learn from it!”
