‘RED LINE’ VIOLATIONS
Turkey declares the west of the Euphrates River in Northern Syria a ‘red line’ and says any incursion by the Democratic Union Party or ISIS along the Turkish-Syrian border is unacceptable. The country’s National Security Council has disapproved attacks by the Syrian regime in the north of Idlib. The Turkish government considers the Democratic Union Party and the outlawed Kurdistan Worker’s Party Syrian affiliates. Turkey recognises both ISIS and the PKK as terrorist groups.
