Question: "I missed a whole bunch of fasts over the last decade or more due to illness, menstruation, and pregnancy. Do I have to make up these fasts? It seems too difficult a task for me to accomplish." Dr. Shabir Ally explains that this question isn't answered in the Quran. He advises that if you've missed some fasts from last Ramadan, you should try to complete them before the next Ramadan begins. If you aren't able to do so, then provide one meal for one person for each day missed. And if you don't have the financial ability, then that too is waived. Watch the video to understand his reasoning!
