Hanami is a Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the beautiful of flowers that are in full bloom. The practice is especially popular in Mar and April when the beautiful cherry blossoms are in full bloom. This year with Japan on lockdown due to Coronavirus (at time of posting), there may be much fewer hanamis taking place. Until this pandemic is over (which I hope will be very soon), let me take you to a morning and night hanami in Sendai, a city northeast of Tokyo.
