Ketan Mehta says "Well Aar Ya Paar is a strange mystery story, its a mystery thriller. It's a story about a crime of passion, a story about the existential reasons behind crime, its a psychological thriller in a sense and that's why its great fun. I have been wanting to do a mystery story for a very very long time.

The advantage of a mystery story is that you will get to play with cinematic elements much more. With lighting and with camera movements, the dark side of the human mind and these are the fascinating aspects of human beings that excite me."

Ketan Mehta is an Indian film director and writer. He was born in Gujarat, and graduated from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Mehta`s first venture, Bhavni Bhavai, a Gujarati film, won him widespread acclaim. Mirch Masala (1985) was one of Mehta`s notable efforts, which won him the Best Film Award at Hawaii. In a career spanning over three decades, he has directed 10 films, out of which Bhavni Bhavai (1981) and Sardar (1993) won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film. His most recent film was Rang Rasiya (2014), which was based on the famous Indian painter Raja Ravi Verma. Mehta`s next film is Manjhi- The Mountain Man which is set for an August 2015 release.
