The plot revolves around a girl named "Sawyer," who gets stuck on his way to Washington. He moves alone through the paper map and was stopped on the way because the path were closed. She was captured by two brothers on the highway, but she managed to escape and reach a forest while running. Her brothers had misbehaved with her and were now chasing her. She becomes weak and faints, and a boy takes her to his home, where she awakens to find herself. The boy's name is "Lowell," but "Sawyer" does not believe him. "Lowell" was those brothers' cousin, and he wouldn't let "Sawyer" go because she knew his cousins were evil, but he was a nice man.
