Fire-fighters simulated a fire (26 July 2011) on the seventh floor of a high rise block of flats as part of joint work between Brighton & Hove City Council and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS).
This joint event was to highlight the work that the council carries out to ensure that all homes conform to the latest Fire Safety rules as part of an ongoing programme to improve fire safety.
The ESFRS Community Safety Teams were on hand to provide Home Safety Visits to residents on request and gave general advice as required.
