The 79th edition of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race started in Sydney Harbour on Boxing Day with a great breeze powering the fleet out of the harbour and on their way on the 628 mile race to Tasmania.

We bring you Matt Allen's view of the race from Master Lock Comanche, start footage, then I chat with Sail-World.com's Australian editor John Curnow about the race.
