With DAP4CS and CarmanScan, you can completely disable the immobilizer on Kyron and other diesel SsangYongs. There is no need to remove and reflash the ECU, just adjust the ECU coding.

🚩 Steps to disable the immobilizer on diesel SsangYong with a D20DT / D27DT engine:
1. Remove the plastic trim from the bottom of the steering column to access the immobilizer unit.
2. Disconnect the immobilizer connector.
3. Connect to the engine ECU with the program, make variant coding (Immobilizer NO), as shown in the video. After a successful procedure, turn off the ignition.
4. Turn on the ignition and check on the dashboard that the immo indicator does not blink. Start the engine.
5. If everything is fine, then cut the K-line of the immobilizer (if you need the ignition lock illumination). If the backlight is not needed, leave the immobilizer connector unconnected (it is mandatory).

✅ For coding procedures in K-line mode, you must use K+CAN Commander 1.4, STN adapters (original ELS27, OBDLink), vLinker adapters or just a regular K-line adapter (KKL) on FT232. But ELM327 is not suitable for coding procedures in K-line mode.
